On 30 May 2005 the Government of the Republic of Lithuania formed the Commission for the Coordination of the Adoption of the Euro in the Republic of Lithuania, and set its main goal – to ensure the preparation and proper implementation of the National Changeover Plan.
The Government of the Republic of Lithuania approved this plan by its Resolution No. 1050 of 29 September 2005.
On 25 April 2007 the Government of the Republic of Lithuania by its Resolution No. 417 approved a new National Changeover Plan.
